News You Can Use

The Greater Tampa Association of Realtors MLS Statistics for the month of February 2008 for Hillsborough and Pasco Counties just came out.  And the news is as follows:

Residential Home Sales for Feb 2008 were  665 when in 2007 were 1053

Condominium Sales                                        72                                  124

Townhouse Sales                                            59                                  131

Total Residential Sales                                   833                               1369

Commercial Sales                                           10                                   16

The average SOLD PRICE IN FEBRUARY 2008 $242,520 with an average of 119 days on the market, versus January 2008 $256,541 with an average of 112 days on the market.  Of course different areas were affected differently , for example, in Carrollwood there were 36 sales in January 2008 with an average sale price of $301,194 and in February 2008 there were 54 sales with an average sales price of $246,114.
